The Dubai Government has allowed holders of UAE residency visas as well as holders of valid visas, stuck outside the country to return from certain nations if they have received two doses of a UAE-approved vaccine as well as having Valid PCR test from approved laboratories.
The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai, headed by Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced updates to Dubai’s travel protocols for inbound passengers from South Africa, Nigeria and India, effective from Wednesday June 23.
Recall that, Dubai, which had refused to fly passengers from Nigeria without a pre-boarding rapid diagnostic test (RTD’s) has on Saturday announced a new travel protocol now accepting to carry Nigerian passengers who present negative PCR test results taken within 48 hours before departure.
On Dubai’s Media official Twitter page, on Saturday. It announced travel protocol stating that as part of easing inbound travel restrictions, Dubai’s supreme court Committee of crisis and disaster management has introduced new entry protocols for passengers effective from 23 June 2021.The new entry protocols were extended to Inbound passengers from Nigeria, South Africa and Indian. According to the new protocol by the Dubai government, outbound passengers from Nigeria must have received a negative test result for a PCR test taken 48 hours before departure in approved government laboratories UAE citizens exempted.

Passengers from South Africa: Should have received two dose of a vaccine approved by UAE authorities.
Passengers must present a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours before departure UAE Citizens are Exempted. All Passengers must undergo PCR text on Arrival at Dubai airport.
Passengers from Nigeria: Must have received a negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours before departure. UAE citizens are exempted.
Passengers should present a negative PCR test Certificate with a QR code from labs approved by the Nigerian Government

Passengers from India : Resident Should have received two dose of a vaccine approved by UAE authorities.
Passengers Must have received a negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours before departure. UAE citizens are exempted.
Only QR coded PCR test result certificates are accepted
All passengers should take a rapid PCR test 4 hours prior to flight departure. Passengers must undergo a PCR test on arrival at Dubai airport.
Passengers should undergo Institutional quarantine until they receive their PCR test result. which is expected within 24 hours. UAE citizens and diplomats are exempted.
Approved vaccines in the UAE
There are four vaccines in the UAE for use on eligible individuals against the COVID-19 infection: Sinopharm, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sputnik V and Oxford-AstraZeneca.
